Kiri, Warp Core Engines
1-26-99

Kiri, OK, I’m here briefly to answer questions so fire away.
Skip; You’re not gonna tell me so I won’t ask…(laughs)
Kiri; What? How to build a warp core engine? (An ongoing joke with Kiri and Skip) How long have we been going on about this? Three years?
Skip; Something like that.
Kiri; Well the compression ratio is equal to the displacement of the energy field and the external input is also equal to the internal frequency of the modulation of the capacity to overide the flowthrough of the electonical, magnetical field which is combined with the flow of a plasmic substance which is diligently monitored by the technician which in turn is operating the equipment that regulates the flow and the modulation of the flowthrough followed by the flowback of the energy source that is equal to the pressure supplied by the combustional residue that is exhaled through the exhaust system. In doing so……..
Skip; Now you’ve told me what it will do and now how do I build it?
Kiri; I told you how to run it but not how to build it or maintain it and I omitted a whole load of very important information too.
Russ; Hey Kiri, How is the ski race this year?
Kiri; I’m on the team.
R; Is it going to be in the same place on Centarii Base?
Kiri; Nope.
R; What happened?
Kiri; They had a severe rainstorm and we’re not set up for it so Sirius is hosting it and they’re panicking.
R; Congratulations, have you been practising?
Kiri; Yeah, doing pretty good. Not doing as well as I was hoping and it’s taking time getting used to my new skis. They’re not the design I want but they’re workable. I might make a few modifications since I’ve got two years before my replacement set is done.
R; Well good luck.
Kiri; Thank you, I’m hoping to pick up another medal this year.
R; Well with the change of venue perhaps it will through the other racers off.
Kiri; It’s throwing everyone off but it should be fun even though the area they hosted it in last year can’t be used this year for the reason that there are a couple of festivals that take place in that time of year. The races were held early for that reason last year and they’ll be late this year and probably in spring like conditions which is going to make it very entertaining.
R; Why not hold it at Hades Base where you can control the weather?
Kiri; We don’t have the set up for it and we don’t start the construction for that until the summer and we need at least six months warning while there’s no snow on the ground to lay in the bases where all the equipment will be set up and line the courses with monitoring equipment to ensure that no one cheats with PK. Anyway, I’m being told it’s time to put on the next speaker so I’ll catch you later.
R; Bye Kiri.
Skip; Take care.
Kiri; See you.
